Are you looking for a meditation in nature for acceptance and devotion? Try this one. It is the first in my new series “365 Nature Meditations”.
Walking the Way of the Cross has a certain symbolism. Walking the path of Christ’s suffering and remembering how beautiful our lives are inspires gratitude in us for what we have. And something else great happens along the way: We can make ourselves aware that we have chosen a path, even though we know that there are disadvantages associated with it. And realize that we still want it. And from there just accept the inconvenience.
My example:
Life in the car is perfect for me: wonderful places in nature every day, bathing in lakes and rivers, getting to know other cultures and people and learning their language in order to communicate with them – I can’t imagine anything nicer! But the winter in Germany has been long and hard and I have often complained, but since the meditation on the Way of the Cross I have been fine and cold days are now acceptable. The meditation has helped me turn what was previously negative into something acceptable.
